Owner/Coach
I discovered CrossFit back in 2012 when Groupons were a thing! I immediately fell in love with the workouts and the community. The difficulty of the workouts was challenging, but it was so rewarding to push myself and discover what I truly capable of. CrossFit was a safe place where all that mattered was what I COULD do; what I COULD NOT (yet) do had no bearing on my ability to perform the workout or my acceptance into the community. It didn't matter if you were a beginner or a firebreather; we were all there doing these hard things together. I was hooked.
As an athlete, I love the variance in the programming. I'm never bored, and the methodology has given me the most well-rounded fitness I have ever had. I feel strong, but also have good cardio.
As a Coach, I get absolute joy in celebrating the journey with my athletes. Every first or PR is worthy of celebrating; but they are simply a result. The real success lies in the hard work, discipline and dedication the member showed to get to that point. The journey is the bulk of our fitness, and I am privileged that our members allow me to be a part of it.
As an Owner, I strive to make CFFV welcoming to all ability levels: from beginners to fire breathers, there is a pace for everyone and we will help all get to their goals. I also aim for CFFV to be a home away from home. It's so much more than a workout. This is a place to find lasting community.
When I'm not at the gym you can find me hanging out with my husband and our young son, Gunnar. Doing anything outdoors is my jam. Hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, or redoing my landscaping. I just need a little sunshine and a little dirt to keep me happy.
